I am using the Ryobi generator. You can get it from Home Depot. Believe it was 500 to 600. It's been great for me so far. The pull start gets hung every now and then but it is a easy fix. It seems like it is broken in so it has not done it as much.
Stay away from the cheap 100 dollar ones for charging batteries though. Bad experience with those... They don't deliver a constant power.

Check e-bay. My flying buddy just picked up a Honda 1000 for $100.00.
Needed a new pull start cord.

Earthquake 800w generator. A USA company and I have over 100 hours on mine. $285 shipped and runs like a champ. After sitting all this winter, started the other day and took only a few pulls and then ran great.

We had one of those Generac generators for our club events. It lasted two years before it gave up on us. Maybe 200 hours of use. The name brands such as Honda and Yamaha are more expensive but are much quieter and seem to last for many years.

Plus one on the Ryobi.....I've got one as a back up to my on board gen set for my toy hauler....I found a factory refurbished one at HD for $400 a couple of years ago....it's always started reliably and is comparable to the Hondas in quietness.

A friend had one of these at the flying field recently and seems to work well and it is very quiet.

800w is a lot of juice depending on what you want to do. If it's just to power a charger then it's plenty- I used a 650w generator to power my iCharger and 24v power supplies to charge my 6s 5000 packs at 10 amps each. I was only using ~500w of power.
