Default Howdy from Houston

I figger the first post should be here, least I get lambasted ProBro style.

Just got my first fatty, a freebee hand me down H9 Cap 35%. Needs some good work tube forward. I'll be getting help from y'all I'm sure.

Fly in Houston, and a 1%'er.

This seems to be a fantastic place. I hope I get treated better here better than RCU, and worse than the probro's.

Hi and welcome to FG. I assure you that you will be treated better here than you were at RCU. That is a place for the grumpy old men looking for some flier to bash on. I quit going there recently because I got tired of the way that most, not all, of them talk down to others. There are many good people there but there are many more here. There is no comparison between the two sites.

Eric,
Welcome to Flying Giants! I have one of the H-9 33% CAP 232's myself. My 17 year old son and I fly it at Barnstormers up in New Waverly. Get yours in the air and come for a visit. Only friendly "abuse" is dispensed around here! Again. welcome aboard!

i just like to give him a hard time.. we fly together here in houston. he had to miss an event to do a pie contest/bake sale fundraiser thing for his church. he did get first place and made the highest dollar ammount for his pie "very understandable btw" good deeds come first!

eric, bake some of your award winning pies for the huckfest here in houston that would be awesome!

Damn, that bit of worthless trivia is following me everywhere! My personal favorite pie to eat is strawberry/rhubarb. Most people in TX don't have a clue what a rhubarb is. I can't seem to find fresh stuff anywhere. Back in the day, my grandmother would walk out to the back yard and pick fresh stuff and cause a fine pie to be made.

Looks like I need to fab some parts for the Cap. I need an engine mount, a firewall piece, and a bunch of doublers. Also needed, tank, wheels, cowl and engine mounting stuff, spinnah, and pushrod stuff. I have all the expensive stuff.

I put the thing together to show the girl. She exclaimed, "great, something else to fix...how's the hole in the fence coming? And the slow sink drain, and the...and the...and the..." All I heard were the first two, but she kept talkin.

Rhubarb is a vegetable that looks a lot like celery but has a pinkish/red color. It has a unique flavor and is used in a variety of dishes, but most commonly used in pie mixed with strawberries (hence the favorite strawberry/rhubarb pie). It is grown primarily in the northern states and some countries in Europe. This concludes this episode of Mr. Wizard.
