I tried this once, found out on the futaba website it is NOT possible to do and still have your trim function for both elevators. I had the same problem with my old 6EXA, I just manually trimmed one elevator. pain in the arse, but it works.

This is one of the advantages of the 9C over the 7C. The 9Z wa better yet. the 9C if you have fast servos you will notice a bit of lag between the elevator halves, the 9Z virtually eliminates this.

sorry for the bad news.

Just use a matchbox it's much easier

You can use a "reversing "Y" harness as well. Less expensive than a matchbox:

Yeah, a reverse Y without the adjustment pot switch. Just get a regular NON adjustable reversing Y. Reason? 3 of my reverse Y's with that adjustment switch always moves one half faster than another... Good luck.

In regards to servos not matching in speed, I had the same problem with my dual elv. servos using a 9CAP and channels 2 and 7. Futaba says that there is a time lag for the signal between channels and if you run digitals, this is more noticeable. The solution (if you have Hitec digitals) is to use their programmer to reverse the one servo and match them with the programmer for speed and deadband. Then use a simple Y harness without a reversing pot to make 'em go
If you aren't using hitec digitals, then a MSA10 or matchbox (smartfly makes good ones too) are the only way to go for true precision.

i think that your best bet would be to get a reverse y harness

thanks for the replys, i have a revering y harnes and took the time to hook it up last night. I would get a match box but do not have the $50 to get one. and as far as the hitec programmer gos, ya that would be nice but $114 is way out of the question. i might just use the y harnes then save for the matchbox.

again thanks for the replys.

$114 is a one time expense and well worth the money.
I can't imagine life with out one now.
