No apology required. After re-reading what I wrote in the first post it VERY easily could have been received as "Bashing the Reporter". For that I'm truely sorry that anyone took it that way. It was more my frustrations coming out from the years of the lower classes not getting the coverage I thought they deserve.

As far as next year it remains to be seen if I can make it. If I go I'll try to do my very best to assist those that make coverage, make it better than they can alone. I'm sure I'm in for a rude awakening.

Dan

Hey Dan,

That was the original plan, but without Arch or Nick going, I just can't do it financially. I know I'm missing a good one...

I'm still hoping to make Sherman, and maybe with my old Great Planes 33% Extra, if I get a motor in time.

I understand. I wouldn't want to make that trip solo. Maybe I will see you in Sherman.

I'm not backing out Ken, I'll save that for later.

I have a new super secret weapon on order and it should be here in a month or so. Been flying a bit lately but need to get with a good coach.

This area, at one time, was the nations busiest part of the country for pattern. Heck you could fly a contest just about every other weekend for about 6 months of the year or so and never drive over 250 miles to do it. Now we might get 4-5 contests a year. We're trying to change that.

I was in negotiations for a flying site that would support Pattern and IMAC on a 900 acre field but the owner and I couldn't come to agreement on the lease. I wanted 10-15 years and he wanted 2. No way I'm making that kind of monetary input for 2-3 years. To bad really. I'm still looking.

I was a little aggravated but may have been lack of sleep, thought of driving and just an overall tough VACATION.. hahahaha.

So, next year, lets see if we can get site reporters (3 total) to help out. That would be great.

And for those who won.... without looing it up for last year....

Intermediate

1. Ryan Archer
2. Ryan Smith
3. Chuck Hochhalter
4. ugh.. cant remember
5. Jim Sheffield

Advanced

1. Brett Wickizer
2.Mike Hester
3. Mark Hunt
4. Keith Black
5. ok, another one.

hehe.. not too bad.. ask me about the other classes, havent got a clue

Chuck
Chuck, It was Gary Courtney in 4th in Intermediate last year. It was the only contest he beat me at all year. I was 6th...
