Yes that was one of the things that really attracted me to this kit as opposed to buying the ARF. All foam pieces are sheeted and the surfaces cut out and hinged. The sheeting is real nice. All you really need to do is build the fuse and then glue the end ribs on the wings and stabs. So I'm pretty much done with the building part of this. So far I've spent a week or so building it. If you have experience building then this is a no brainer in my book.

At this point it is everything I thought it would be. Pretty much like putting together an erector set. Quality is right up there with other 'planes I've built from scratch and hand picked the wood for.
Requires some experience for sure. If you've never built a kit then it will be a little bit tough but do-able.

Just so everyone knows I'm not a sponsored pilot. Infact I asked Al to Sponsor me and he said it would cost me a grand:9: . ha ha Now back to the building table ,if i can find it

Because I am putting ZDZ 160 with the rear carb in this bird I built a larger firewall. I'll need to drill a hole in the center of it so I wanted it stronger than the stock one. I laminated 2 pieces of 3/16 aircraft ply with a piece of 1/8 in ply in the middle. Then I notched the motorbox and sunk the firewall 1/4 inch back from the edge. 30 min expoxy should hold it.
Sanded the hatch tonight so that's almost finished.
