Thanks for the kind words. There isn't much that can be lightened up on this 'plane. As you can see all of the formers have holes in them already. I don't have a good scale to use right now so I'm unable to weigh the parts. When I get closer to being finished I'll borrow a friend's scale and post the results.
Keep in mind you can put a bigger engine in this 'plane. I'm putting a ZDZ 160 Champion in it but you could easily fit a larger engine in it, I think they say up to a 200cc. There are almost 2800 square inches of wing area so wing loading isn't a problem. I used to have the 330L with the 160 (standard) in it, which was not lightened like this one, plus I ran cans and smoke and the weight was like 41 lbs. It still flew great and had plenty of power to get me out of trouble.
I'm using less servos in this one (HS 5955s instead of 5945s) and Lith ion batteries so that will save weight too. So this one should be real light in comparison. I would suggest doing everything you can in the electronics and batteries to keep it light. I wouldn't change the airframe.

Tonight I worked on the rudder. I'm using an SWB 4.5 inch rudder horn. I also took the clamps off of the motor box and glued the top hatch in. Got the holes for the hatch hold-downs drilled and the blocks glued in.
And for Jeeum and the Tank I took a couple pics of the new toy! :Banane20:

Sleep? who needs it Bawhahahaha...
Tonight I got the cowl mounted. The factory leaves you a section of the sides that you can bolt the Cowl to. This would leave bolts hanging off the side of the plane. Not good. But the cowl also comes with a cowl ring , so I cut the two side sections off and mounted it using the cowl ring. 6 bolts in all. The cowl will go over the F1 former. I thought it would look better this way instead of having it mount flush with F1 then the Canopy hatch on the other side of F1. This would leave three seams in the front.
The Ailerons, and Rudder dried. Look at that throw! Yee haaaa.
Tomorrow... something completely different.. no not really
