My dad has both the Yak and the 260. His gear ripped off the Yak the other day. Aero Works said the new ones are reinforced with aluminum to help this. His had the gear mod (wood reiforcing bracket) that came out after the originals were having problems. He loves both of these planes and has one of each in both Florida and Illinois. Plus there customer service is incredible. I think that would make an excellent birthday present.

I posted this on some other message round' here so sorry to those who really "get around".
This is a side by side SD Models EXTRA 260 and the EF 88" YAK. As I said "BIGGIE Sized and around 17#. I still need to add batts and a few other to have a finished weight. Note too if the rudder were installed - it all but reaches the ceiling. |

I have two Aeroworks Yaks, one is the 50cc and the other is the 75cc, the 50cc has a DA-50 on it a the 75cc with the DA-85. The quality of both are excellent and you can use all the hardware that comes with them, as said you really don't have to replace it so that being said they are not any more expensive than any other on the market. The planes are just a little heavier but they will outlast some of the others out there, they are first class and I will not hesitate to buy another one. My next one might be the 150cc Yak that was just introduced, of course that will be this winter. Just my 2 cents.
