I don't know. I recall them talking about how great the electric cars were going to be 10-15 years ago. GM discontinued theirs after only a few years. Mainly because the 70 mile charge only got them 25 miles . It's not always how well they work or if the concept is attainable. Will they buy it and have confindence in it is also a factor.

I hope you are right though.

I'm sticking with it. I really dont see electric technology just dropping out and dieing off. Lipos, 123s fuel cells..... Theres no way these technologies are going to just end now. Its only going to get better. I'd invest in it.

I agree with Edge, but I hate electric cars, planes or any thing else that should be gas powered.

Batteries are for flashlights and vibrators.

I wonder why the motor runs backwards? Maybe the pics are flipped but all the props go the wrong way too.

Hey Guys,

I wrote a small article about this on Digg. If you like it, would you mind 'digging' it?

THANKS!

Actually electric cars now have a longer range then before. Also the oil companies bought the battery company that produced the batteries for the EV1 which gave it a much longer range.

In terms of fuel I think we are facing a similar situation to the 1850's. The whale industry was king in terms of fuel; whale oil. They never thought they could be replaced by alternatives. When alternatives arrived in the form of kerosene and other cleanly burning lighting oils their days were numbered.
