I am going out to practice like my life depends on it. I know this is going to be a very competitive contest. Broke right gear on my 3.1 Super last Saturday. Replaced Sunday morn and flew that afternoon. How many pattern guys in basic?

What's your point Gary

Actually, I'm attempting to put together an old, crashed and repaired, slug of an airplane, so I can actually have an IMAC bird to fly at this event. The servo's are in and the motor arrived today. If I can get the exhaust and other necessary components in time I'll be flying her at this contest. If not, hopefully I'll be able to fly the QQ Yak I built for Nick, if that doesn't work, it'll be my old Pattern bird again

Darn that would have been cool though if it was the end of this month. That would pump me up for our contest the next day..

So far so good on that. We usually have some kind of little front blow in that week and cool things off. Keep your fingers crossed...

I think it hit 105F today in Vicksburg - but it was DRY!!! I say dry because when the absolute humidity (not relative humidity) is low the temperature goes up!!

I did get in some practice flights about 1000 hrs this morning until 1300 then Todd and I packed it in - too hot!!

Boy I tell ya, I agree with that. I went but didn't have the courage to pull plane out of trailer. I hope to get some time in during the week also. 102 Yesterday in New Iberia "new record" Heat index 114. I need water just think about it.

Well I have been burning the midnight oil and working hard on Shauns Plane everynight, so It can be ready for this contest. All that is left now is starting and tuning the engine and sealling the edges of the covering. It turned out really Nice. We have a minor setback, One of the gymbals on his 9C broke. He will have to send his radio in to futaba or radio south for repair. Hopefully they will have a quick turnaround so he can Maiden next weekend.

It's not always the heat that causes this ,
