Cool. I call those '20mph torque rolls' in the wind like that.
All this talk about the Mini-X I ended up taking it out this weekend and worked on rolling harriers. I really do like the plane but I need to change out my elevator servo due to a double centering issue. Other than that I had fun with it.

have you guys seen the new showtime mini? it looks like it might have the same issue with the funtana x having the sfg's on the wing tip. the showtime 90 is way better than the funtana x 100

Hi guys,

I'm brand new to the Flying Giants website and forums. I have to say there's a lot of great stuff here! I recently got a Mini Funtana X this past Christmas and I've been having a ball with it. I'm relatively new to 3D flying (fly mostly sailplanes), but I was curious to know where you guys would suggest the CG should be set at with the Mini FuntanaX?? I've learned from watching many videos here, and reading various threads, that it's a good idea to have somewhat of an aft CG for 3D'ing, so I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions as to where it should be?? I'm currently practicing the basic knife edge, however I still need to figure out my rudder to elevator mixing (and possibly rudder to aileron mixing) to aid in a smoother KE. Any input would be appreciated. By the way, I'm flying mine with the stock landing gear that came up with it FWIW seeing as how I didn't see a landing gear in this particular video. Also, I have not currently tried the SFG's yet either, but I'm thinking I should give them a try. Thanks!!!

Nice flying Tony! I just repaired and testflew someones mini FuntanaX. The damage was identicle to the one that you were flying. That is one sweet flying airplane, even though I like EFs planes alot better! These pics are after the repair.Click image for larger version
