I'm looking for a profile ARF for a OS .46 FX. Does anybody have suggestions on what I should get? I'd like to buy something from one of the bigger companies so that I could go to my LHS and order it.

The new Tribute .36 ARF from Horizon may be a good plane, though probably overpowered but there's nothing wrong with that. I haven't heard much about the plane. There's also the TMpro Extra 260 which is perfect for this motor. I have see this plane fly and it is absolutely amazing. It looks unbelieveable. I have heard of some issues with the quality and some manual issues though. I would do a search around for both the planes and see what other people say.

The Tribute is a great choice. It is 80ish dollars. I goes together in a hurry. I have a o.s.46 on mine with a pipe. It is a fun beat around plane.

BBoard,
Are you looking to do serious 3D or just a good bang around plane?? Ohio Model Products has some good deals on some very good profile arfs...Edge 540 Katana V2 48 inch - the Fusion is also a very good all around plane also but probably not as crash tolerant though... If your into building Paul Swany has some very good 3D designs also... If your just looking to bang around the Hanger 9 Tribute is OK also... Ronster |

I don't see why one would spend money on a tribute when there are so many other planes that will by far out perform that sos, for the same price. Some are even made in America.

I looking for a good beat around, bang up plane. I'm ready to build a kit. Has anyone built the Burrito from swanys? It's slightly cheaper than the mojo and the only differnence I could tell was support tube in the fuse.

I've heard great things about the OMP and Swany planes, so either of those would be a good bet. I currently have a old Extreme Flight Edge and it is a blast but on its last leg and discontinued. A little while back EF announced that they had acquired the rights to the popular Chinn Yak 55 and will be ARF'ing it hopefully for late this year.

I have the MOJO 40 with an OS .46 FX and a 12-1/4 x 3-3/4 prop. I will do some amazing things. Knife edge at walking speed, hover almost hands off. I hear Swanson is coming out with a ARF soon - it's worth it!!. I don't know of a better 40 size profile.
