Looking for the best 3D prop to put on a OMP 48" Katana I think TM Pro makes it..
I will be running a YS .63 on 30% Heli ..... Anybody else running this engine setup??? Thanks... Ronster |

My YS .63 loved 30% Heli fuel and it really liked a 13x6. The 13x4 just didn't have the grip with what that engine could turn it at here at 5000 ft. I would try a 13x5, 13x6, and 14x4 and see what does the best. Altitude is of course going to have an effect, but try both regular and wide blades with the 13" props but don't put a wide blade 14x4 on it.

Yep, it was a MAS 13x6 K Series. You may have better luck with a regular blade version though since the air is thicker down there. It'll take about half a gallon to get the engine to run smooth, but once you get there, you won't want to run anything else.

Tom,
I will order one of those too and try it - 7.95 is alot less painful 100 bucks for a 30 X 12 Mesjlik... Thanks for the feedback.. I know sometimes ya just gotta try a couple of different props till ya find one that sweets out... Ronster |

I ran a YS.63 on 30% heli fuel in a H9 Twist using an APC 14x4w. The thing had stupid power, unlimited rocket like vertical out of a hover. If I was at half throttle or less and then pinned it, in level flight, it had so much torque it would twist the airframe with authority. An awsome engine from the start, and I like the pc 14x14w.

I run a YS .63 on my profiles with 30% fuel.
Best two props I've run (and props that beat all others hands down) are the Bolly 13.5x6 and the Xoar 13-6. The engine really likes both of those, and they are just about perfect on a 4lbs 4oz profile. BTW, with the Xoar (which is a wood prop) the thing sounds like a top fuel dragster because of the insanely fast spoolup. That fast spoolup also allows a different kind of 3d : ) |

I've never run a Xoar, but the absolute best prop that I have flown on a smaller glow plane is a Vess.

I fly at sea level and use the 13x4W APC. I have tried the 13x6 MAS and works good too but I liked more in the lightest planes like my Mojo.
On my Fusion 52 the 13x4W worked better than the 13x6MAS. I used 30% and the spool up with both is instantˇˇˇ I'm waiting on some Xoar to try ![]() Saludos
