Bill,
Have you decided? I think any of the choices will do IMAC well if they are set up correctly. I have a WH Yak and it's small for a 50 cc, but competed in an IMAC contest and outperformed some larger aircraft. I'm looking for something with a larger wing area to be able to do 3d with.

I'll say this ... I've thrown my Yak around like I do my profiles and it's still in one piece!

I know it has nothing to do with the planes capabilities but I tend to zero in on stuff like that so I want to make up my mind it ain't gonna bug me. From flight reports, I probably won't notice any cosmetic flaws after I fly it!

Jeff Szueber, Jr from AW emailed me to answer a couple of questions and gave me his # if I have more.

Anyone have any reports on the AW 260s extended durability? There should be a few flying since last fall or so.
HI Bill
Just wanted to let every one know that the AirWild extra 260 I was flying in the video on the AirWild web site had the wrong color cowl on it. You were 100% correct the cowl was more of a blue color and the canopy deck is a pearl purple. It was way off. All the extra 260's that AirWild sells are not like that. The plane is covered in ultracote pearl purple and the cowl is painted the same color. (Pearl Purple.)
Good luck with your decision.

I can't speak for any of your choices, except the WH. I currently fly a QQ Yak 54 which IMO is in a totally different league. Also keep in mind that a good IMAC set up probably won't be a good 3D set up. The plane is only about 20% of the equation in IMAC. The other 80% is pilot & practice.

Since you said mostly 3d huckin I'd cast all three choices aside and go with a W/H Edge. If the IMAC stuff is something you're only going to do in passing and not seriously then get a plane you want to have a lot of fun with.

EF 88 is too expensive in europe (France), it cost 770 euros (around $1078) , when QQ 86" is 550 euros (around $770).
EF should revise theirs prices !!

Fair comment buddie. Although i still think the Ef looks great and flies better without the need for the dreaded Sfgs. If only price wernt a issue we'd all be flying 50% birds.

EF 88 is not a 102", it is just a 50cc class plane !

Im thinking you cant of flown the 88"? It out flies all other 50cc planes hands down. The 88"s- Defo not just another 50cc plane. For a 50cc to compete with the same performance and size it shows how much airframe design has evolved. The 102" looks no different in size but the cost sure is

Have you considered the 3DHobbyshop's 85" Katana? It usually comes in sub 15 lbs on a standard 50cc setup. Hardware package is top notch, and though the plane is light, it is by no means fragile.

Here's a recent video I shot of it.
