How far is Louisana from Houston? I thought that was the state right next door?
I didn't go to DOD either. These YNot productions pale other events. Weird, crazy, once in a life time stuff with planes is gonna happen. Your not even going to be able to 'splain to other people later on....they gonna think your crazy. Its not just a flying event. Its kinda like a flying event, mixed with a party, a smidge of circus, and a dash of insane asylum.

It was a 4.5 hour drive down to DOD. If you missed DOD you really missed out.

The DOD was a goody.

Its at least 6 hours from OKC to Huston. Who from Oklahoma is going? Is there a car pool with room for a DWFoamies Yak and an EF Yak?

Work is driving me insane and I could use a good weekend of FUN!

3D,
NONSENSE! Y-NOT is just a mild-mannered country boy that tends to let loose when he asks his Ma & Pa if he can go to the big city for some entertainment.........BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I hear he is up for the "fly the foamy through HIS legs" contest. His ankles and crotch has healed from the last time he did that one!

Louisiana ain't that far away. You get past Beaumont/Orange going east and pretty much everything is Louisiana! You fellows coming FROM Louisiana have the pleasure of driving the TEXAS AUTOBAHN from Beaumont into Houston. Never mind those posted speed limits signs...... They were joking when they put up those 70 mph signs! (We do recommend for your safety as well as others, if you are towing a trailer, please obey the un-posted speed limit of 140. Those trailers start oscillating about that speed and we don't want any accidents.) You might want to slow down around Katy to about 200 knots and think about flaps and gear..... If you pass up Brookshire, you'll overshoot and have to see the sights in San Antonio!

The strawberry jelly/grape jelly/Jif peanut butter situation is coming along nicely. I'm afraid this is going to be a BYOM (milk) deal...... Not enough refrigeration!

The buzz here at the local hobby shops is that this will be some huge fun!! TWO WEEKS AWAY!!

If you just put some side force generators and put a little up trim elevator on the trailers...they should be allright..........

Texas is the only state where I've been doing 90+ mph down the freeway and get passed by a State Trooper...

I used to live in New Orleans and drove back & forth to Houston from time to time... When you cross the Texas - Loosiana border, there's a mileage sign that always makes me chuckle... It says, Waco - 893 miles... TexASS is bigger than some countries I've been to before...

This is going to be one for the books guys... Between TonyD's antics and some baddass flying, it's going to be a blast...

Strap 'em up boys... Texas & Houston has the welcome wagon setup for you!!!!!

I just got off the phone with Nick Stratus, the Prez @ Bomber, they are pumped up and putting the field all together for us this weekend.

Nick told me that he will make sure the field is open Friday morning for the early crew.

Nick also said they will be selling food at the mess hall for us on Saturday.

I am in need of a party.

Tony,
What's the landing fee? What the start times each day? (I know there is NO start/stop time for the fun and antics that'll be going on!

TD,
I'll leave a PBJ at the gate for the last one out so they won't starve on their way home....... You know, as the sun is coming up on Monday morning!
