You don't see the pros out in Pheonix at the Tucson Shoot out with CF gear. If you watched the video there would have been many broken CF gear when that storm blew in! If you only fly in weather that you like and I know how Colorado weather can be. I've been there about 25 times going to see friend and then Sturgis. I fly all the time. I'm dissabled and can't ride my HD any more because of too many back fusions. So I fly with a bunch of old farts and a few young ones too. My Katana has a 3W 106 and weighs in at 28 lbs. Flys vertical and will hang on the prop! I got the power. Have al the good things in it like Li-Po to drive all Hitec Digital Servos and Li-Po for ignition and NiMH for smoke pump. Smart-Fly Power Expander dual batt share and regulator for PCM receiver. Had a Mejlik on yesterday and glad I didn't have on my Prince P-Tip on. Enough of this I'm going flying instead of talkin' about it.
Spring is right around the corner!! Yeah.

As for flying, it feels much heavier in its movement in air compared to my 25lb Yak 55sp. Other than that, I will wait until the engine issue is resolved to test as hoverring is more like catching it in its drop rather than modulating to hold hover and is very uncomfotable. |

Well, I was at Tucson. Leseberg, Quique, Smokin' Joe, are just a few of the pros that I can think of right off the top of my head that had CF gear for sure. And I think Briggs, Glezellis, Noll Kristchensen, and several others also used CF...that is enough of an arguement for the usefulness of CG for me...

BTW, I may be relocating to Tucson by this time next year, so I will know what it's like to not have to freak out about weight so much! well, at least not during the late Fall-winter months. In the summer, I understand the density altitude there is around 9,000 feet!!!

Bodywerks, when I lived in AZ I flew in Tucson. The elevation there is still around 3,000 feet and in the summer its quite a bit higher. I lived in Sierra Vista and that was around 5,000 feet and close to the same temps. Your gonna have to move to a normal place to get some good air!! lol.
