Hangar 9 35% 260!! FG's Got 'EM!
They are here!
Anyone who was in Toldeo this past April for the trade show no doubt noticed this new plane from Hangar 9. This is the newest aerobatic offering from Mike McConville and he has certainly outdone himself this time. This plane also is one of the first Hangar 9 planes to come with a ton of stuff already done for you taking the ARF concept even further. Pre-installed hinges, hinge gaps sealed, removeable rudder, Control horns mounted, cowl pre-mounted, quality American hardware, pro-link pushrods, Engine standoff's, pre-made and installed fuel tank, painted helmet head pilot, CF tailwheel and the list goes on and on. Mine showed up last Friday and with a little bit of work over the weekend and today, I finished it up really quickly. No real problems in assembly and everything fit where it was supposed to with ease. I was on the fence as to getting one or not but had the opportunity to fly one of the protoypes a couples times and thats pretty much all it took for me to place my order. Mine is outfitted with a DA-100 on Std. Mufflers. JR radio equipment. 1- 8711 on the rudder. 1- 8711 on each elevator and 2- 8611A's on each wing panel. Fromeco electrical system. WAYNE! Looks great!
I believe mine should be here tomorrow. (May have to get sick at work if UPS shows up!!) What a great looking plane. I already downloaded the directions and studied them a few times. It does seem like a enjoyable build. Also the attention to detail in the manual is stellar. With the set up details listed such as servo arm length to use, and distance to set the horn from the surface, set up should be a breeze. I really am getting excited! And I'll be using pretty much the same set up, except I'll have 8711's all around (except throttle and choke). So Please Wayne, when you get her airborne, please share any additional set up tips! PS: It looks so shiny!! (Homer Simpson voice..) Soooooo Shiny... like a glazed Donut.
