Draggin the Rudder
![]() |
My 3.3 Yak has 4 8611s for the rudder. I did have a Powerbox but I got tired of all the problems with it, so I'm going with the 2 reciever setup. The rudder has a Matchbox setup with the 4 servos. I just setup 2 futaba 9 channel recievers and have a duralite 4000 for each reciever with a seperate switch for each reciever. My question is can I use a "y" hardness off the matchbox for the rudder and plug it into both recievers? I would like to use both batteries for the rudder so the one side doesn't drain quicker then the other side and less of a load. Instead of 4 rudder servos with all the other servos on that half, it would be 2 rudder servos on each side. Just worrying about to much voltage or the gear stripping out easy like this? On my 40% Edge it has two rudder servos on two reciever setup. I have one servo per side and never had a problem at all with it. But they are the big hobbico 350oz servos and the gears are stronger then any.
