RoughtLan,
Thanks for the reply, that helps a lot. The springs on tailwheels have never worked for me. Cross winds on the runway overpower the springs making it difficult to steer the plane when taxing. I've been using Tygon, works much better. Chuck |

I use the steering rod from www.airmanwheels.com it has some shock absorning action, I have also used just a plain old H9 Ti turnbuckle for the push rod. This pic is from before the www.airmanwheels.com tailwheel and steering rod but shows the setup.

I'm looking for a set of wings for my Hanger 9 Extra 260 35%. If anyone wants to sell a set or has an extra set even if they are the old style. Please let me know. Thanks!

I have 2001 Lexus RX300. A Great Planes Reactor, at 85" in length, will fit with the engine between the seats, it doesn't have removable stabilizers. The Extra, with the stab removed would slide between the seats, but the rudder will be pretty close to the shifter. Knowing that the rudder can be removed makes it possible to fit it in, if necessary.

Yep, that is what I ended up doing. I should be getting them on Thursday. Only cost me $32 and they were new never used. I couldn't be more excited about the deal. I can't wait to get my Extra 260 back in the air come spring. I'm looking to upgrade it a little before spring too. I will be adding a DA-120 to it in the next couple of months. I'm going to change out the stock gas tank and install two soda bottles, one being used for smoke. I will be taking out the pilot figure to lose a couple of ounces. I might also be getting carbon fiber landing gear to save even more weight. All in all, I think I should be saving a couple of pounds from the whole setup!

Bodyworks can chime in here as well, he has a lot of time on the H9 as well. The 120 will turn your H9 into a very good IMAC plane with plenty of power over the top.
