Default QQ102 owners

Hello
I am near to buy the QQ yak 102. I have two questions before buying:
Could I mod the rudder to have a removal rudder ( I have a small car and I need to remove the rudder). I think it's easy to do but your advice is better than my thought!
How long last the QQ yak? (ie could you use the yak for a long time?) I fear that the wood is quickly destroyed owing to the gas!

Thanks
Space

Removing the rudder is no big deal. Use the flat type hinge and run a piece of piano wire up through all the hinges. You will find a 90 degree bend on the bottom and a wheel collar on top will do great.
As far as the plane lasting, gasssers don't spew like a glow motor. You just don't have a big issue with gas and oil getting every where. You will need to seal the motor box with thinned epoxy. YOu will also need to wipe the bottom of the plane off. Gas/ oil isn't the issue with a planes longevity,, thumbs are!! It's an awesome airplane. You will LOVE it!!!

Space, I have been huckin mine with no mercy for a long time now, over 8 months. And it is still going on strong. No signs of fatigue yet. I love this plane and I am sure you will too. I have a couple vids in the gallery if you want to check them out.
