Default Re: H9 35% 260....its cheating to call it a build thread!!!!!

I wanted to do a rundown of what is in the plane for those who are interested

Plane: Hangar 9 35% 260
Radio: JR 9303 -w- R2000 receiver
Servos: JR 8711 on all flight surfaces, 2ea wing, 1 ea stab, 1 on rudder, JR 3421 on throttle
Engine: DA100 -w- standard mufflers, NX 27x10 prop and Pete's 4" Carbon Fiber spinner*
Electrical: FROMECO, 2-5200's on flight surfaces, 1-2600 on ignition, Wolverine switch, Badger switch, 3 regulators

*Please note that the manual states to use a 4.5" spinner, I used a 4" spinner because thats what I had.

So whats left....

The plane is on charge now. I've gone over it with an iron and gun (hopefully good enough). The plan is to do the maiden tomorrow after work. Its supposed to get up to 99*F tomorrow with a heat index well over 100. We'll see what its like after work. I'm loading up my cameras and stuff in the van tonight so we should be ready to rock and roll tomorrow.

Hopefully I'll have a good flight report tomorrow and I'll report back as soon as I can.

I'm not sure of the length difference, the bay directly behind the cannister "tunnel" is open and half of the next bay is too. You could easily build up a tunnel that went all the way back if you wanted and just mounted your receiver on top of the tunnel. Rudder servo in the tail helps out a lot.

This would probably be the smartest thing to do...

I just peeked my head outside, it looks pretty windy. The flag was flying straight out and whipping. We'll see how it is in a hour when I get to the field.
