Good job Mike! Looks like it flew great. You might want to switch to radial tires on that thing for the long walk though lol. That was a good vid, but the guys talking in the background weren't as annoying as those darn crickets you hear chirping lol.

Hey Mike and crew,

Just wanted to say that the "long hard road to Tucson" sure paid off for Mike. He was a great competitor and always had something nice to say. He has shown what it takes to make it to the top. I believe getting on that podium was an awesome achievement and I am definately proud of what Mike was able to accomplish. There were many times this summer when things didn't always go right but always his reply, "I don't care what happens, I'm making it to Tucson!". Awesome job, bud! You sure deserved being at the top! Hats off to ya!

Thanks, Tom...you beat me to this thread. I have a 5 page story to post at the end of this thread and then I was going to post it. I've been saying all year that getting to TAS was my goal and no matter what happened, I was happy, and I am...I was ecstatic just arriving at the field because that was my first and foremost goal. I achieved it and anything after that was a bonus. The podium was an honor, not a goal.

Work will prevent me from making it again next year. I might come down and hang for the weekend if anyone will let me in. LOL

We're going to be in the middle of moving the business here at DuPage and I don't think I'll be able to make it. If anything I'll fly down to see you guys on the weekend, but I will definitely not be competing. Advanced has way too many great pilots for me to go against and I won't be making as many local IMAC's this year either because of work. I know...I know...work is overrated. But let me say this....

The next year at work for me could be a career improving year for me financially and morally. I plan on really working hard for this place to reap the benefits of my hard work later. Something I HAVE to do...might not want to, but I HAVE to.

Mike, I think they need to let us have a Huckfest at your work and leave a couple of the hangar's open for nighttime foamy flying...

Think you can get the runways shut down for a weekend?
