I'm looking for engine from OS for UCANDO.
Alternatives FS91II .91fx 120ax I think 120ax will be ok. ( maybe a little overpowered ). Which do you prefer 91.fx ofr 120ax. ? |

I had a Saito 100 on my old one . . . lacked just a tiny bit of power . . . Id say YS 110.

ys.110 is the perfect match if you can shell out the chedder for 30% heli fuel, that motor drinks up the fuel!17 4w apc that plane will do it all.If you wanna save a few bucks in the long run,but suffer a vert pull out loss, saito 125.I had it with the ys

Sorry,i dident read the post right. We are supposed to be talking o.s.I have a profile 62 inch wing,6.25lbs,os91fs,15-4w apc. That being said, that motor is just enough to make a perfect go out and have a blast 3d plane.I dont think it could handle a 7.5-8lb plane.I also just flew a friends funtana 100x,O.S.120ax and i felt the plane was way lacking in the spoll up department.Have you though about the O.S.120FS.

had one with an o.s. 91fx up front, had the power to pull it veryically from a hover but had slower throttle response than i would like, a nice 4c like an o.s. 1.2, ys 110 or saito 1.25 would be much better is you plan on learning advanced aerobatics with it (3d)
watch out, it rolls inverted in knife edge very quickly because the wing has no dihedral, a mix of rudder to same direction aileron will make it a very nice knife edge plane, about 15% if i remember right on a futaba tx |

i had an 0s 4s 91 on mine and it would tail slide when trying to T-roll. I also tried a RCS 1.4 on it that worked out great had to put a slug 2700 nmhi in the rear. it died a dead stick death in a plowed up field.....

Ive had all these in one. This might help ya Saito 100 the best. kens 91 pumped Os second place. Saito 91 third 91 fx fourth 120 saito to heavy and to much power plane doesnt fly smooth and transition from wing to prop very well.the saito 100 was by far the best. it will hover at half throttle easily.it will have great high alfa nife edge feel with no overwelming coupling. fly very lght and agile.with a five cell batt just behind the rear wing bolt it will balance just at the back suggested CG.the two stroke glow motors have to spool up to high for me.four strokers just have the best feel and they just sound good!!!the DO has the best big plane feel.. great for learning 3d or imac!!!hope this helps ya

when the u-can-do first came out i put at least 30 gallons of fuel thru a Magnum .91 XLS (2 stroke) and it stayed very cool, i could even hover it the whole flight and it wouldn't get too hot. I had better luck with it and my friend who had the OS .91 FX. His kept overheading and shooting glow plugs; of course he didn't always believe in tuning the engine
