Just got off the honker with John Light, and we have a go on the countdown! T-3 hours and counting! The Staudacher is currently on static display at the event they are attending, and they are packing up and moving to the offsite field in about 45 minutes.
John has indicated that the weather is cloudy with a slight wind, and 85 degrees, and overall GOOD! He mentioned that they made a last minute change to the servo setup. The Staudacher is running BIG 'OL Seiko 150's which are geared very low to maximum torque. They made the decision to run the alieron and rudder servos off of a newly installed 12 volt battery. In about 3 hours, they will be ready to go!!! I'll be on the honker with them as the flight happens, and photos and video will follow shortly thereafter. Stay tuned for more! We're following this very closely. All the best-- MD

Best of luck with the Maiden. Wonder if I will see it at the IMAC Nats next year.
