Default Which charity should benefit from the Max Roast?

OK fellas, the Max Roast is on for October 6th at the TAS. Biff Sadler will play Roast Master. For a complete rundown on exactly what's transpired, please see:

http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...tml#post289632

What I need are suggestions for what charity you think should benefit from the Max Roast. I bet we make a couple hundred bucks. I would hope we could come up with one that has helped out a Giants bro somewhere along the way. Please post your suggestions and why you feel they deserve Max's blood money. After I get a bunch of suggestions, I'll either put it to a vote, or just let Max decide.

There will be a $1.00 fee per "snap" or "roast", I.e. if you step to the microphone and say, "Max's teeth are so big, when he sneezed he bit a hole in his chest;" that would cost you a dollar. Every subsequent line would be another dollar, and so on.

A couple hundred? LOL.....Yea right. With these rules I bet you will be able to fund a new 40%.....LOL..

Mr. Superdave,

If the roastee gets any input here, I think the charity should be the Anheuser Busch Corporation. Last year's FG mixer was pretty big.

It has been shown here on the Giants that a ton of members are smokers, and I would bet that the majority of them would like to quit if they knew how, or could get the proper help. I say donate the money a cause that could help people quit smoking. This would help the general public, and benefit a lot of our members.

Max, I'm sure there are enough guys willing to pitch in for beer... I.e... ME

Wouldn't you want Flying Giants to be associated with being charitable as well as a good time? Sure you do...

Let's do it this way.

I donate $100.

Where do I send it and who will match me?

I challenge all members to make a donation. Post your amount here. Charities appreciate anything you guys and gals can do. I'm sure this will end up going to a really good cause. Let's all step up and show the real strength and compassion of FG and the entire r/c community for those in need. If we all donate something, we can spread the proceeds around to a whole lot of charities.

Thanks Super Dave for this idea and thread.
