Anyone have one of these ? I was looking at the 27%er for a DA50 but a modd'ed 31% at 17 pounds would be Schweeeet
They list 17-20# for a advertised weight... Carbon gear and wingtube... cored wings and stab...yummy

I had one of these and it was my first big plane. Very, very good plane for IMAC and awsome for 3D too. I will post a video of it flying later this morning. 17-20 is very realistic........mine came in at 22 lbs with heavier fiberglass gear, smoke system and full fuel/smoke tanks. I had a 3W-75ius in mine too.

the music in that vid was sick!!!!
CA's Epsilon is sick too, I got it and it is freakin awsome, I imagine that the extra would be too. Foam cored wings are the way to go. It is alot less easy to leave a dent in the sheeting, I hate when you do that with built up wings. |

We almost bought one of these as a fun 3D plane for the field I fly at now. He wanted 2200 for it though, which is a little bit steep for a used one IMO. I think the span is 93 inches.

A couple of questions for all you CA owners as I have a 31% just about finished.....just a bit of canopy and cowl work and shes done. 1) CG position for extreme 3D 2)Throw rates on all surfaces with the V-shaped hinging that comes on the ARC version 3)Did you modify the position of the servo on stab and wing or did you keep them sideways as supplied 4)What size horns are you using I am finding great difficulty achieving the rates that I would like for 3D as the distance from the servo to the horn is very tight .....1 1/4 inch arms and unable to get more than about 38 degrees on elevator.......Whats the deal. Give me all ya got guys !!! |
