Quique, Andrew, and Jason qualified for the F3A pattern team and will be focusing on pattern practice in preparation for the F3A world championships in Argentina (November). It's hard to bounce back and forth between large IMAC planes and pattern planes. A chance at the world championships is not something to take lightly. We'll be cheering for them!

Meanwhile, as you can see, the Shootout has an awesome field of well known top competitors as well as some amazing new talent from 9 countries. See you in a few weeks!

Thanks Matt! I'll most probably be flying the 2.6 with DA-85 in the freestyle. It's going to be good fun!

Seg has RETIRED RAGU... He will be coming with an entirely new Secret Weapon for the Freestyle..Really Top Secret.. I can't even reveal it under threat of being boiled in oil..But I will tell this much..it's far superior to Ragu..and he does some amazing things with it. See ya at TAS

Quick question:

To get into the freestyle do you have to be in Unlimited or Invitational? Also, was there a paper or something that you had to fill out just for the freestyle? I remember on our sheets we filled out for the sequence part, it had a box to check for the freestyle, as well as the form we filled out online.

obviously not since SEG made it in and is in Advanced.

If your interested in Freestyle I would just call DA and ask them what's required. I think SEG submitted his couple of Freestlye contests he did this year along with a video (but not the Katana one

)

I was kinda wanting to, my dad really wanted me to, so I figured I would, and checked the boxes, but my name is not on the list . . . wasnt sure as to exactly whats required. Maybe next year!
