Default Which 35% extra 260 ARF???

Which one for a DA 100? Wait for the 35% AM extra 260, or AW QB extra 260?
I know the quality would be good on the AM, but not sure about the QB.? I also like how the AM's one will have more color skins than just the one from AW, even though the good part about the AW, is that its QB and it comes with 2 different wooden engine templates!

Both seem nice. I like the AW yellow scheme.
I'd wait to see a flight report for both.

But I'm sure either would be a good choice.

Well, from reading the manual the AW looks like it’s a strait drop in for the DA 100.

I don’t know much about both of these except for reading their manuals over and over and from that I think the AW will be better unless there’s a huge weight discrepancy.

If there weights were mutually acceptable then the only thing to consider would be covering schemeand the build time desired.

Keep an eye on the QB. It's quality and straight-forward and FAST assembly make it very attractive. Final flying weight reports should be interesting.
As for the AM 260, Garret seems pretty straight forward when you ask him the weights - he doesn't attempt to purdy it up at all, just tells it like it is.

I have put together 3 AM arfs (2-40% Yaks and now a 33%) and this last one has gone together incredible fast. I think either way you go is a win/win situation.

I always refer to the big brown truck as Santa Claus. It's Christmas year round at my house.

Iv'e been working on an AW 260 for a couple of days now and am almost finished. I would have to say that AW has raised the bar pretty high with this one. It is as close to " Bolt together" as anything else I have ever seen. The design looks solid too, nothing to dislike about it at this point. I am looking forward to getting it in the air. The airplane was ordered through TBM on Monday and delivered in Norcal on Thursday........can't beat that

Nothing at all for sealevel flying, but I was counting on it coming in at the bottom of the weight range in order to have the performance I need at my altitude. People are coming in around 27 pounds with a moderate DA set-up, which is perfectly fine for people closer to sealevel. For me, even with my BME, I coulnd't see getting below 25 even with CF stuff. Up here, you need 24 or less to have the same performance as sealevel guys do at 30 pounds.
If you are at or near sealevel, I cannot say enough good things about the quality of this plane. If I move to Tucson like I am planning, I will have one of these again. In the meantime, I have to go with the QQ Yak for its weight advantage.
