Got Twins???

Ok, this is a question for measurement kings out there. A good friend is dieing to buy my 1/3 Chapman Cap from me and if he does I'll be needing a new 35%er. I have on the nose of the Cap a 3W TOC 120. On the cap I had to cut spark plug holes in the cowl for the motor to fit correctly. Does anyone know if my 120 will fit in the cowl of the 260 without butchering it up? I am hoping it fits just fine. I'm not going to get another motor because this 120 must have something special done to it because it has gobs and gobs of power. I can hover the cap at 1/4 throttle and it rockets out of a hover like a foamy.
Thanks, Chris

If an Evolution 116GX2 fits and @ 278mm not including the caps that should let you know. What’s the 120?

The cowl is 13 1/8" at the area of the plug.

I cleaned up the non-topic discussion. For those who know what it was thanks for understanding.
So will the 120 fit in the cowl?

Geez, dont let me spoil the fun, it was just an observsation.
I made the cowl (and whole airplane) so the EVO116 will fit, so I believe that yes the 3W 120 will fit also. Glad I did BTW, made the airplane larger. Its actually 35.6% which IMHO is a better size. Still plenty light for a 100 but gets the area up/loading down and presents a little bigger in the air. |

Fick,
I was enjoying this thread more when we were making fun of Puck. But, since you asked.. Yes. I am really liking this plane.

I'm the party pooper for killing a dozen posts.
Mike, I just wanted to tell ya that ya did an awesome job on this plane. I've only gotten one flight on mine so far but it kicks ass! Wayne, it is fun having fun with Puck, but sometimes we forget that others are around...LOL
