In our constant pursuit to bring you the best in modeling, we were just handed EXCLUSIVE gem from our friends at Hobbico! Lay your eyes on this baby! These are the first photos of the much rumored Great Planes 38% Extra 330S ARF! This plane will be the one to beat, it's VERY attractively priced, and takes the newly growing manufacturer trend of near turnkey ARF kits to a whole new level!
This kit will be available from GP towards the end of the year, and will be priced at... Get this... $999! Quickspecs: Scale: 38% Wingspan: 110.5 in [2805 mm] Fuselage Length: 103 in [2595 mm] Wing Area: 2279 sq in [147 dm2] Some of the features of the kit: - Clear canopy on removable hatch - 120cc - 150 cc power recommended (goes like a rocket on a DA 150) - Composite landing gear - composite cowl - fiberglass wheel pant fairings - Painted cowl, wheel-pants, wheel-pant fairings - Hand crafted of balsa, plywood, foam - Pull- pull rudder hardware included - All servo arms and linkages are included "Ganged" rudder aluminum servo tray included (no need to buy after market rudder servo mount) - Highly detailed instrument panel included and installed - Spinner included - All up flying weight of this beast is 36 lbs This plane has been under development for some time by Frank Noll, as well as other notable industry legends. Initial flight reports are coming in from the lucky few who have demo units, and the reviews have been absolutely stellar. The Extra will be debuted this weekend at the Dayton Ohio Giant Scale (DOGS) meet, with the help of Frank himself, and our friend Andrew "Animal" Jesky. A BIG THANKS to our friends at Hobbico/GP for the scoop! We'll be bringing all the best information back to you guys as it comes in. In the meantime, we should have some video up after the big weekend of the demo flights of this killer new bird. In the meantime, enjoy some shots. |

Is this a 260, or a scaled up version of their 330S 3D E-Performance Series ARF 41":

Frank was a consultant for the development of this product.
This airplane was developed by the Great Planes Airplane Product Development and R&D Team, in conjunction with Frank's flight testing and input. Cheers- |

We confer with those involved before we release anything to the public. I can 99% guarantee that MAX has been on the blower w/ Frank, and other GP contacts RE: the release of this fine looking AEROPLANE...
ENJOY. T |
