they are 6mm hex head. They make 1/4-20 also, but they are a little heavier and the hex is like 7/16".
I did the maiden today. CG at 3.5" is great for 3D. I need a new tailwheel castor(mine fell off in flight - bad weld). the motor yielded unlimited vert at 5/8 throttle and is bloody rich. next flight will have a tuned engine.

Bodywerks,
Congrats on the maiden. Good thing it was the tailwheel and not the main gear.

Thanks. Gale-force winds right now, so no more flying for a while. The CG is a little aft, even for me, at 3.5 inches, which may have something to do with my smaller tank up front. So I think I will move my ignition battery forward to achieve a 3-1/4 to 3-3/8" CG and will be set.

Flew it 3 more times today. I LOVE it at 21 pounds for my style of flying, but I think it would still fly quite well at 22 pounds or so, so don't get too worried about the weight unless that's your style.
I am too tailheavy to fly a nice IMAC sequence, but that is about the only thing limiting the plane for precision. At 3-1/2" C.G., it is still quite stable, but very responsive.
It has a slight tuck and an even slighter roll in KE, but nothing out of the ordinary.
My roll rate is on a wire after adding some differential - I don't know the exact percentage but it is about 2 degrees more up travel when my down travel is 25 degrees (that is my low rate).
Obviously, the 85 has plenty of power, too!

Is the 85 on a pipe?

Post some video when you get a chance

First impression.... for everyday flying would you take it over a 35%?

The 85 is on a KS95 can. It is a nice flier, but it will never replace size - BIGGER FLIES BETTER! If money/transport is not a factor, and you could only have one or the other, then the 100cc is the way to go.

Just got my AW X260 75cc... it's looks awesome!
Anybody have any suggestions on what servo arms to use? I'm looking at the SWB's but am open for suggestions. I'm thinking 1.25" on the rons and the vators and a 3" on the rudder? Or is a wheel better on the rudder these days? It's been so long since I've been into giant sizes and things change. My servos are JR 8711's... other than throttle of course.
Also, prop and spinner suggestions are welcome. I'm using a ZDZ Super 80 with a can(JMB). I like the looks of the XOAR props but not sure of their performance. I'll be flying a combo of IMAC and 3D.
Any tips would be great!
Cheers,
Lyle

If you are using the Hitec servos, the Karbonite arms work great. Also, mount the rudder servo in the tail - you'll need the tail weight anyway.
I used 1-1/4 on aileron and elev and 1.5 on rudder. There is already a servo cutout in the tail, too.

Thanks Nick... I'll be mindful of balance and see what happens.
What prop/spinner are you running... is your prop/spinner setup pretty light weight?
Cheers,
Lyle

I didn't know Mejz made a 4" spinner? I have their 4.5", but it would be too big for this little bird, so I went with a Petemodels 4" CF spinner and Mejz 27X10th prop. The spinner is light but the prop is not. If you want a light prop you want wood, but in this case I value performance over weight - haven't run a wood prop that I like yet (but I haven't tried the Vess)

I went with a 4" Airwild Nova spinner myself. They offer a spinner in an Extra profile.
