Default programming elevators with 10x

Every time I go to program the elevators with the 10x the elevators do not work together. One is always slower. When I move the stick around fast it looks like they are ailerons.

Any ideas?!

I assume you are using the dual elevator function in the 10X.
The only time I've ever seen any problems with my 10X on elevators, I had too much subtrim input on one or both servos. This will cause the problem you are describing.

I do have a little bit of subtrim on both servos. I'll get rid of it and see what happens.

Thanks!

Just got the problem sorted out. I had one elevator servo in the wrong channel.

Thanks to Jeff Szueber and Eric Powell for the help!

Check your mechanical setup. I've seen problems there too.

Print out a little paper protractor and make sure bother servos have exactly the same center point and they both sweep exactly the same number of degrees... preferably around 50-55 degrees. Once you do that, adjust the length of your control horns and pushrods to get equal throw. Should fix about anything. Mine track perfectly on my 10X.

The higher the aux channel number -the worse the time error - I had all the PCM10 models over the years -same issue- best ALWAYS --is no sub trims and use the built in mix on the screen . It will never be as good as the 9303 or the DX7-which is the best of all of em. (least error).

I have no doubt that your correct Dick.I will put that in memory, but Hitec servos, and good geometry make it possible for all subtrims to remain at 0 forever. As far as I can tell, I can't see any real latency between the two control surfaces, but one day, I should try the elevator function, the only thing is I haven't had the need to, and if it ain't broke......
