The 3W planes fly excellent. I have the Votec and just got the 3m Extra. Yours looks great!

I think either plane with the proper setup will fly great. The Votec has some odd coupling tendencies, but once you figure them out its a slick flying plane. The yak, for me, slows down to quickly. I like how the votec is almost like a pattern plane and tracks very straight. I have not 3Dd mine but a friend has one that he 3Ds all the time and it looks great.

if youre still able to, install a pipe, for example MTW or KS on the 3W and use a Engel Super Silence 24x10 (very thin CFK Prop) http://www.engelmt.de.

im flying a 3w75 in my extra, with the original Pefa can and i have tryed several Props:

Mejzlick 26x10n -not worth to say about, forget this prop on this engine , Mejzlick 24x10th and 24x10 Engel - the 24x10 th climbs good(out of torque roll) and has a very good performance on throttle- even climbs well in F3A programs, but 6450 are not enough at all. -with a pipe this prop would be the best combination for that plane ever.

the 24x10 engel gets really cool rpms :7150 -thats enough power to have really fun ! -the only disadvantage is that "tracking" on throttle isnt so extremly good like with the 24x10th - may com from the thin prop...

at least i love to fly this prop, no problems with the heavy weight of my 3W extra (standart)...

Regards, Chris

I had one YEARS back!! It was my first GS plane. Loved it!! I had a 3W 78B2 in it. Turned 6300 on a 26x10 MenzS. The weight was a little on the heavy side, but none the less, it still flew AWESOME!!!!!! By the time I sold it, I had it repainted/covered and still weighed around 26#. That plane will fly AWESOME still at 26-27#, but with the lighter engines out there now, it will be more of a 3D animal with any 80cc powerplant!!!

The 3W 70 will be a good choice for power. Do you plan on using a canister muffler of a regular muffler system???

Nice paint job!!!! I like it!!!!!!

Hey guys ! I plan to use a canister on this plane, i really need to keep the noise down. Or else I will not be so popular on the local field ;-)
