I have the 1/3 WM Super Cub on order. Should be here sometime next week. Has anyone had any problems with this plane so far? What should I look for? I will be using a 70cc twin. Can the hinge pin be removed so the control surface can be removed. Wallace gear or Robart gear. Etc.

also consider the new Hangar9 33% PNP Cub. Takes about 1 hour to get it flight ready! Includes a the Zenoah20EI motor and all the other goodies you need to fly. I am considering one since I cant build and you cant find a Decathlon in this size anywhere

Flew my cub this past weekend a total of 35 flights , flew flawless and it was a blast making touch and go landings. Weather was perfect in Central Iowa for flying the cub this weekend. I also installed a smoke sytem on it and captured some good video with really clear blue skies .

Bruce,
Will you be posting the video or a link to the video? I have seen the HP Cub. It is not 33% and it is not a Super Cub. |

Best Buy has a device by Sony that you can plug in your video camera or vcr and burn a dvd from them. Then you can get the video into your computer if you have a dvd player on it. From there I would guess you can edit and post on youtube or rc universe. I found the device made by Sony when trying to figure out how to get my old vcr tapes of family etc onto a dvd. I have not purchased one yet so before you buy one ask the sales person lots of questions. I think I will go look at one today. |

Here are pics of my WM 1/3 Super Cub during it's rebuild.
I shredded it through the trees last fall. She Lives again!!!. My good freind and Secretary of our club forensicly rebuilt it , without plans, just good old American engineering. |

It has been a long journey for this Super Cub, on the bench since Oct, Sunday was it's first flight since shredding through the trees in late Sept, 07.
I don't think there are many Sunday circle fliers here....just you hotshot 3D guys, but here you go .... Super Cub rebuilt and re-maidened. I am exicted to have my favorite plane back together. Cowl goes on after tune-up, and shake out flights are all done. 5 flights on it, gotta put a 90deg snorkel on the 3W carb , see if it cleans up the carburuetion. I will be stunting, hucking and towing nbanners with this bird as soon as it is tweaked.....Flying Giants style. |
