What do you use for batteries Butch?

How are you liking your 3.3m? I have had one for 4 yrs.

John, I'm using 2 Duralite 4300 liion packs in all planes.

I've had the 3.3 for about 2 years now. It flies great, as you know. It was the best flying plane I have ever flown...until I got the 3 meter!

I like the 3 meter best now because of a better power to weight ratio and it is also easier to transport and assemble at the field with the wing tube instead of blade spars. It is almost as stable as the 3.3 on windy days but the vertical is much better.

Is it possible to put two Nicad packs or connectors into, say a Spektrum SPMAR 7010. One into the battery port and the other into a spare servo port to get dual battery redundancy protection.

Answered my own question. It's on the Spektrum website: yes you can!

Would there be any any likely problem using two BEC's with voltages set the same. One BEC drawing power off the motor battery and the other one off a seperate lipo?
