I have mine mounted to a power expander pro, the short remote running to the side of the fuse. The power expander is sitting on a carbon floor, and is about 6" behind the fuel tank. I also have one of the long 18" remote receivers going back on the left side of the fuse as well. No problem with this setup, and was the same setup as before with the spektrum module and AR 9000. Here is a picture of my setup with the AR 9000rx, nothing has changed since adding the JR 921.

I am considering getting this system but have a question on flight modes...are you able to have triple rates within each flight mode ? For example--on the 9303---in FM0 can I assign all my rates to one 3 pos switch--then on FM1 have 3 more new sets of rates assigned to that same 3 pos switch as in FM0--and the same on FM2---this would be giving me 9 sets of dual rates.

Pale, yes. On each mode, you can set each rate, ail, elev, and rudd, to different values. Then whatever you want on the other 2 modes as well.

That pretty much sells me on the 9303..I have a 9C now but it only has triple rates--which is basically only 3 rates for each surface...since Im going 2.4 I wanted to be sure the 9303 would give me 3 rates on each mode---9 sets alltogether..

I have three 9303's and all I have is flight modes. I can have FM0 set to have, say 50% rates for ail, elev, and rudder, along with, say 25% expo. On FM1 I can have another rate for each surface and a different expo value if I want it. And on FM2 I can have full rates, or whatever, and again whatever expo value I want to assign. Of course, I can also assign a specific mix to a specific flight mode, as well as a specific trim setting per surface for each flight mode as well - this is what Flight mode is all about. Yes, it is three different possible travel rates for all three surfaces, but I would still just call that triple rates, not 9 rates. I don't know the 9C, but I believe it is specifically just triple rates, as the name implies, where flipping a switch only changes the rate of travel and nothing else.

On my 9C--I can assign rates/expo and mixes to a 3 pos switch--but the trims do not change--each flip of the switch will give me 1 rate change for each surface--

-Rudder (1) 50% (2) 65% (3) 100%

What I was thinking was that every time you switch to a new flight mode, you would get a new slate of possible rates-- and the rates would be changed by another switch--not the flight mode switch

Flight modes rock! I setup 3 but usually end up using only 2 Just remember to dial out your aileron diff. otherwise one flight mode you will have full down flaps or full up flaps.

It's more than a slight speed penalty, it's much faster. The module system operates at the same speed as your PPM system due to the language conversion that is performed. Part of having to set the Tx modulation to PPM when using the module.

When using the native system you'll also get the Model Match and Servo Sync functions. I haven't used the latter but love the Model Match feature, I've gotten into the habit of checking model selection all the time but this eliminate that one time you forget or get distracted.

Works any better? In what regard?

What is servo sync ?

Servo Sync resequences data so that when using multiple servos on a control, the servos see the data simultaneously. Not always the case when electronically mixing two servos that are plugged into something like channels 2 and 6 in a receiver. An example would be dual elevator servos or a three servo CCPM swashplate.

Hear is a hint:
do the auto ele to mix setup - set the two servos facing each other -arm up on each - note: they are exactly matched
now add some sub trim on one - - end points change -
so--the lesson learned is to mix the servos--- then- reset linkages ONLY to correct errors -
to me - programmable servos are not worth having-if you want real accuracy-
