Great job with the stickers, Troy. Should be easier to spot your plane in the photos from TAS now.
I hope everything goes back together easily for you guys and the planes run smoothly.

LOL - that's one way to look at it I guess - the first right hand turn in that Chevy truck will be interesting

To bring you all up to date with what has been happening this week so far - Sunday and Monday evening were spent stripping both the 2.6M and the 3M of all batteries, fuel systems and engines and final packing of the spares. Tuesday these were delivered to Howie who arranged shipment to Desert Aircraft in Tucson - all being well they should be in Tucon by the weekend It was a difficult task to dismantle a perfectly working model but it did serve to uncover a couple of areas that needed maintenance

Wednesday night was spent making a few mods to the 2.6 as Chrisb will be running the Pits slimline muffler on the DA85 with Mejlik 26 X 12 for the freestyle

Tonight the 2.6M was delivered to Howie who has arranged for RCDART (AKA Mick) to box it up for us on Friday - no Mick it's not so we have someone to blame if it does not arrive in Tucson in one piece

We also recieved a "Care Package" (Name Tags and Baggage Tags) for the whole Team Australia from our good mate and supporter RICHO in Bendigo - thanks RICHO much appreciated and I will think of something else to surprise the team with at dinner on Saturday

Arrived home from work yesterday to be met by a very sick Chrisb!!!!!! My first thoughts were that he had flu but fortunately it appears it is only a head cold - so all's good.

This weekend we will shoe horn the 3M into it's boxes ready for loading onto the QANTAS flight next Wednesday.

Dare I say it - IT IS ONLY 6 MORE SLEEPS TILL WE DEPART - I swear it was only yesterday that we had 12 months to prepare

Yeah. And I bet I know which bunny is going to be the first to drive that puppy. Oh well, it's only LA. It can't be as bad as my first trip to the USA. Driving in New York! I'll bet Norm's going to be more nervous than me though!

Oh yes it is. Mick is to blame if anything goes wrong. Isn't that why we are taking him??

Only 5 more days and I have about 15 days of work to do before I leave. Situation normal.

No wuckin furries, I might as well do a fork lift test check on the package before we send it. Make sure to tell Troy that it does not matter how he packs his either, seeing we are travelling together, I'll take the blame there as well.

Likewise Al - only 3 sleeps till we leave - GREAT EXCITEMENT in the Brislin household

Well we, Chrisb and I packed up the 3M yesterday - had to keep each box weight below 32kg - the fuse, rudder, wheels and spats are packed in the fuse box - it is the heaviest - and the wings, elevators, wing tube and props are packed in the wing box.

Howie and RCDart spent 7 hours boxing and packing the 2.6M - much appreciated guys and thanks a ton.

We all went out for dinner last night - Howie Karen Rebecca and Mathew - Mick and Kym - Troy and Katrina - Chrisb Michele his sister Lynda and I - great time, very relaxed and we discovered that we had only duplicated one item - we have packed two bottles of loctite.

Howie and Mick wore the new "Team Australia" shirts - they looked great - the rest of the team were handed their shirts after dinner - thanks to RICHO (again) and Howie and Greg for getting them made and delivered in two weeks - yip we did not give them a huge amount of time but they look sesational.

We have a few surprises for the contestants in Tucson which we won't discuss here - but we will keep you informed later
