Default Tri-Cities IMAC

Come fly this weekend, 9/8&9/07, with us at a great field. We will be at Higgins field outside of Richland (maps are available at: http://www.higginsfield.org/map_to_higgins_field.htm).

Info of interest about the contest follows:
- We are flying all five IMAC classes and an sign up Freestyle on Sunday afternoon.
- The field is open all week for IMAC flyers
- The landing fee is $25 which includes dinner Sat night for the pilot and spouse. Additional dinner tickets are $5.
- Breakfast and lunch will be available at the field on Fri, Sat and Sun. Suggested donation is $3.50 per meal.
- We will be enforcing Rule 13.1 from the Flying & Judging Guide. This gives you a max of two minutes to get into the air and will require a different flight line approach than we usually employ. It is described below.
- Pre-registration will be open Friday evening. Please sign up if you are there.
- Registration will open at 7AM on Sat morning.
- Pilots meeting at 8AM with first plane in the air at or before 9AM..

****************************************

Tri-Cities flight Line Procedure:
- The PA system will be used so be prepared while flying.
- You are encouraged to take off before the pilot flying ahead of you lands and idle safely out of the way while he completes his sequence. If you choose to do this, please take off during the completion of the last two maneuvers of his last sequence..
- If not in the air by the previous pilot’s touch down, you then get two minutes to get in the air. The pit boss will call time when the field is clear and begin timing the two minutes. If you don’t make it, you go to the back of the flight order for your class.
- If on your second try, when you again get to the head of the flight order, you don’t make it into the air in the allotted time (two additional minutes), you zero the round.
- If you are the last pilot in the normal flight order with no one behind you and you fail to make it into the air on your first try you will be given an additional eight minutes for a total of ten minutes to get into the air before you zero the round.
- When in the air prior to start of each sequence, there will be a limit of two trim passes. If repeated violations occur you will be penalized. This is a CD call.
- Once set on Sat, the flight order will not change throughout the weekend. At the completion of each round, the top two pilots will move to the back of the flight order.
- Flight order will not be altered for caller availability or mechanical problems once flying begins. The CD will entertain requests to change flight order before flying starts on Sat in order to accommodate caller availability but once set the flight order is firm.
- We will not shut down flying for lunch.

I got a few pictures on Saturday. My first time to an IMAC event. Couldn't get many flying shots.
I gotta say you guys were brave flying in that crosswind.
