Default QuiQue Does it Again! First look at the much anticipated Python!

Well folks, the wait is coming to an end! One of the most anticipated giant scale ARF releases of the year is just about here! The Kimball-Somenzini Pits Python is an exciting new design from the minds of The Godfather of 3D himself Mr. QuiQue Somenzini, legendary designers of the Python Kevin and Jim Kimball, and of course world renowned builder and designer Bob Trueworthy and Wayne Ulery.

The QQ Python project has been a passion of these folks for some time, and here at FlyingGiants, we've been giddy with anticipation of this all new 100CC ARF. When the greatest minds in the hobby team up, you know it's gonna be something great! The engineering and ease of build of The Python is simply amazing.

The new QQ Python kit is amazing on many levels, and exemplifies the continuing new industry trend towards bringing complete ARFs to market. Term "almost ready to fly" is quickly changing, and this is an exciting time to be a modeler!

FlyingGiants friend, and QuiQue's Aircraft associate Reza has kicked off an exciting build thread for our community to eat up, and will be taking us on an up close and personal tour of the new kit, it's features, and how to get 'r dun!

Reza's build thread can be found here:
Build: Kimball-Somenzini Python 100

Quick Specs:

Wing Span 85"
Length including 4.5 P-51 spinner 90"
Wing area 2,380 Square-Inch
Weight 26.5-27.5 lbs
Price: $1195, available late October

Big props to QQAC and friends for bringing this killer product to market!

How long in your opinion will it take to assemble the plane at the field for flight?

Is there any flying wires on it? cuz I love bipes but absolutely hate rigging my ultimate everytime I put it together and I would definately trade mine in for this one if theres no wires.

A-Track,

No flying wires and I will show how fast this thing assembles at the field. Almost like a Mono-Plane.

Heading out to work, I will have pics on the build thread tonight!

One thing I'd like to mention is this plane will be set up with latest technology in the market. I will be covering all the questions with regards to componants once we get to that point! I am hoping to make my build thread as informative as possible and I appreciate your suggestions, participation and comments as well since this is the basis of my assembly manual as well.

OK now I am leaving it's 6am and today I would have to stay until 6pm but will make sure to answer all your questions at the end of the day and hit the build thread hard

Take care guys,
Reza

This is going to be awesome! The first BIPE that will actually do precision aerobatics as well if not better than a mono plane! QQ has the first diamond in the rough! Can't wait for Seth to get his hands on one of these! Geat job QQ and Wayne!

Sweet!

Tom
