Don,
I really appreciate you taking the time and doing that video. Guys, I met Don and actually spoke to him for the first time at our field. He is paralyzed from chest down but he loves the hobby and has a very high spirit and lots of passion. I want to thank him for taking the time and doing that video for you guys. In a situation he is in, it is really difficult for him to sit for long hours and focus. Often times he has pain. If any of you fly during during the week at BlackStar field, please make sure to give him a hand in case he needed any help. He is a great guy and enjoys this hobby a lot. Thank you Don. I hope you don't mind my post. |

I got some comments on my flying and the video I posted sent via email.
Honestly, I do not consider myself a great pilot. Average or little above average but guys it really doesn't matter how good you are, it takes some time to adjust to a new plane 8-10 flights is nothing unless you are way on top. I am personally adjusting to the plane, rudder and the way plane responces to throttle is completly different than my Yak, hence most of the videos you see repeated manuevers. There are two reasons: 1. I am constantly trying to tune myself with it on rudder, harrier rolls and other manuevers that requires rudder input. 2. Most of the video I had that were of distant flying was almost useless so I could not use them. I will try to get you one full flight video this weekend. Reason of my post is to answer the questions to the emails I got, one says I was not as smooth as I was with my Yak. There are some similar emails as if I really think this plane is better than my Yak? I feel this plane is superior to my Yak in 3D, hands down. Precision I need more time to tell. Everything looks really promising. To answer the other question, I have had over 650 flights on two Yaks and without a doubt I know the plane. 10 flights on a new plane is really nothing. I only fly one day of the weekend. It will take me some time to get adjusted but plane has absolutley no bad habbit that I can tell. All I know is I will be flying the Python for a long time. You want to know how effective the rudder and how responsive the plane is, look at that rolling circle relatively high speed at 2:30 min of the video, in the last quadrant I stopped the plane in knife and completed the circle in KE. I did not reduce the roll rate, simply let go of the stick at the right time and applied rudder, plane stopped without a split of second hesitation. Again sorry if this video is not showing a great flying, all I can say is if I can do it you can do it. I'm sure with more time I can be smoother. It's me not the plane ![]() I am having a blast with this plane. I am confident those of you get yours will feel the same way! This thread will be here and words won't change. Come back and tell me I was wrong ![]() Thanks guys, Reza |

aaxiss,
Thanks for the video! The Python's vertical acceleration is impressive -- you can tell the plane is very light. |

Hopefully I Plan to be at the field again this weekend. I am in the process of liquidating some older RC stuff to come up with the funds to possibly build a 27% by sometime early spring of next year. As Reza said I am Paralyzed from the chest down ( this poses a balance problem for me as I have no control of my trunk muscles ( back or stomach ). I can only hold the camera at eye level for a very short time as I am fighting my own CG when my arm is raised up in front of me.
As a result the video I shot was with the camera down on my lap looking at the little LCD. this week I hope to give a tripod a go and make some camera adjustments. I will try to backup what Reza's Video guys is shooting also. This works out good for me as I enjoy photography and flying so I get to fly my little electric till the wind picks up and then shoot some video and hang out a bit ![]() Don |

That's funny cause all the time I was flying, only thing was keep coming back to my mind, is to show harriers, since you were the only person actually asked for any maneuvers!
My take on Harriers, Upright is effortless! No brainer! Inverted much easier and more stable than the Yak but it's either modulating the throttle or keep going back and forth on elevator to prevent from going into hover. Like any other planes I have had but I truly feel my Python is flying even lighter than my Yak so it is very sensitive in certain attitudes to throttle! My broken in DA100 turns a 26x12 Mejzlik at 6470, this engine is brand new, running rich, turning 6300. Imagine the extra RPM on already impressive pull outs!

They are in the States
We should have them in the Warehouse before November. I would say, Oct 25th but please don't call the company. I always have the latest and I assure you guys, you will be the first to know once they are in stock and ready for shipping. I also got the manual done and we are now reviewing it. It is about 50 pages with over 150 pictures. With this build thread and the manual, I feel it would be super easy and fast to put one together.I also would like to ask you once you get yours, tell us about your impression of the Kit on this thread ![]() Thank you for strongly considering this plane ![]() Reza

Hi Guys,
Here’s the manual. I have tried to make it as detailed as possible. I have even given the length of the linkages and such. I am sure it is not perfect but will do the job along with this build thread. Thank you, Reza P.S. It's pdf. |

Looks good Reza. Although I will never get anything that big ( engine wise ) I have already learned a few things just from following this thread and will apply them to my next build for sure. Don't know if you made it out to the field this weekend or not, weather was terrible on Saturday and I had an appointment with someone to design a corporate logo and letterhead so I shined the entire weekend.
Will be out at the field next weekend for sure. Got a new motor for my extra 260 I want to try and want to play with setting up some mixes ( you may be able to help there ) , this is all dependent on if I get my new radio by then also . fly or no I'll be out though ...Don |
