Default Airfoil Gurus

Guys,

i am working on a project (35% aerobat) the wing profile is about the same as that of the edge 540. What would be a good airfoil selection for the wings,, stabs and rudder? I would like the airplane to be a good cross-over IMAC/3D machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For model airplanes... any of the NACA 00 series work well. The 2 digits following the 00 denote the thickness of the section, so a NACA0015 would be a 15% thick full symmetrical section.

Thanks Shaker. After scouring, I came to that conclusion too.

Azhar, try looking at 2xx and 3xx Fully-Semmetrical Epplers as well as Fully Semmetrical Selig ones. 00XX NACA's that I have found and seen on polars have an overall lower Cl and the curve is not as smooth as Epplers or Selig's. F.S. NACA's have an overall lower Lift to Drag ratio (less effiecient). Print out polars from various airfoils that you think are fitting and go with the one that looks best to you. IMO.

Best Regards,

Jason
