Default KMP Aviat Husky A-1

Hi everyone, iv been keeping this is the dark for long enough.. im building a bush plane.. if you dont like it cuz it cant 3d so be it haha, so here we go.. i got this plane because i never had a high winger.. not even a trainer.. and have always wanted a Husky model. So when this was released by KMP i couldnt pass it up! the specs are 80 inch wing span.. ail, ele, flaps, rudder, throt. i have plans to use a saito 91 4 stroke to allow for scaleish performance. so far im not to big on how the radio compartment is set up, and the wings struts will be very hard to install and take off.. theres just little room to get in this plane.. more to come, heres a few pics as of right now. on a good note it looks great!!

hey looks good mike, you will enjoy flying it. i have a great time on somedays just flying around with a scale plane. you dont have to think about anything and just enjoy the way it flys and seeing how scale you can make it fly... i know you will enjoy it. and by the way, you dont have to fly 3d all the time. enjoy the new ride and relax a little, then rip up the sky with the 540 hey dude does it have flaps??

Default its back!

ok time to bump this thread back from oblivian... the bird is back on the table in my goal to get all my current projects flying by spring before i think about new stuff. so with that said i now have the magnum 91 mounted. and servos in the wing. one wing left haha.. i now have a much large vehical to hual it in so the stuts just a hassel now. im wondering tho, would it effect anything mounting the throttle servo on the fire wall ??? i want to use a hs 81 or mighty micro for throtle. thanks, new pic! i want this plane done and over the last hassel arf i built turned out to be the best flying plane iv had,,, so i have hope for this one hahah

all servos expect the throttle in now, the throt servo is gonna be tricky to place since the carb is on the center line. but ill figure something out, i had to put it together haha enjoy the pics

I too have this same plane and engine set up. I'm tempted to take a break from another project and throw this ARF together. If you have a picture of the plane with the cowling, I would be interested in seeing it!
