Default SUCESS!!!!!! it FLYS!

Well today my husky flew for the first time. On take off i realized how much im not used to floater planes haha. ( this factor came into play later too..) as youll see in the gifs i made of both take off and landing this plane needs little room to get flying. Today was a bit windier then i had hoped to do the maiden in but i was going up regaurdless. My fear of being very nose heavy went away soon after takeoff and it just needed a few clicks right ailiron to trim. the landing was fun with the big crosswind we had, one thing i notice is the fact that these big tires take a second to roll up to speeed and on touch down it hints at nosing the plane over. good fun! The second flight i decide to try a takeoff with flaps,, wow it jumps off the ground haha. then plane seems to wiggle around just a bit im guessing its the short coupling. the third flight was great, this time i set the timer for 10 and kept it under half anf just did pattern and fly bys, i will say once i get the cowl on it, its going to look and sound real!.. the day came to and end tho on landing of that 3rd flight as i cut the landing to short and ploped it down into the thickest clover about 3 ft thick all around the runway.,, it was sucked in hard, and prop broke as well as the landing gear bent ( surprising since its biffy..) the gear has been since bent back as well as i can, but i am going to email kmp about extra. enuff my rambling heres the pics!

takeoff

landing

i have 20x4 inch bike tubes at work for those dumb stingrays,, that would be a funn tire on a hemple cub haha. got to fly the husky withthe cowl on wednesday.. sure looks great in the air. ill post pics tommarrow. only bad thng is the engine relies onthe onboard glow much like a gasser and ign. i need to set it down loower so it it only on at startup idle. i had it go dead onthe third flight the other day. bent gear again ,, i realy wish some one would make real landing gear.. that doesnt bend on just any bump.. bahhh.. oh well it flys and looks and sounds great, but for me its rather boring to fly but it will make a good scale flyer and camera flyer...
mike

ps, camera onboard for next flights once i figure out where i want the rig..

I just started building my Husky and have a few questions. First off, the instructions are the worst I have ever seen. The holes for the gear are way off the mark and will have to be drilled out and washers used. There are 5 tubes going back to the tail section (2 for the elevator and 2 for rudder) what is #5 for?

best advice i have is ditch the rudder rods, and put a pull -pull cable system in, unfortuneatly there is no way around using the daul elevator servo setup, which i greaped about to kmp a few times,, the 5 hole is for an antenne,, who uses a antenne anymore haha.. Please post photos, and if i can help please ask, SmokenKat also has one, that still flys and will chime in. good luck.
