I believe the 5th tube is for antenna routing.

Does anyone have pictures of their pull pull system on the Husky. Are you still using the factory tubes for the pull pull?

Excuse my ignorance, I'm a helicopter guy. The wing tube and c.f. tube on the Husky have no instructions in the manual. Do the tubes get secured evenly in the fuselage or are they secured to one wing then pushed through the fuse and the other wing attached?

you can leave the tubes free, i accedently glued one side of the rear carbon rod into one wing so i was stuck there.. but the main tube will only go in so far into the wing so getting it uneven is not possible. the wing bolts are crap,, they strip the threads easy but the wing struts do the work, but new ones from dubro are good. sorry no pics of the pull pull. but i did use the tubes in the fuse to run the wires from the center servo slot.

what engine are you getting? 90 4 strokes have ok power to fly scale anything smaller with really test your flying onthe wing skills. I have steped away from nitro now since all my stuff never runs good and the engine is the cause of my airplane wrecks and not my flying..

I was thinking of trying a Saito 100. I'm not sure if there is a gas engine suitable for this airframe.

gas would be fun. lil heavy tho, I thought about it for the ease of use and reliable... hence why i fly gas and electric now. the satio will not only pull like heck and look good, and sound good. but plan on it guzling fuel fast for the tank size in the A1. also it would be inverted.. post pics and keep us posted

When transporting, do the wing struts stay on the wings? The newer models have the strut support that is attached to the bottom protruding out through the side of the fuselage.

unless the new struts can pivot.. take them off. it was a pain but the look it gives once together is good, if the strut is attached from inside the fuse youll need a long magnet to get the skrews out later. hope this helps

Do you use brass threaded inserts, or just keep screwing the struts into the balsa? I think that the screw holes would wear out after a while.

if your talking about where the strut mounts to the wing, there is blind nuts in predrilled holes under the covering, it took me a lil while to find them, but they should be there. hows the build coming?

Thanks, I will look for the blind nuts, the instructions for this model are not great. I have to install the elevator servos, I have decided to mount them back by the stab and not in the fuse. I will mount the Saito tomorrow. Should be done soon.

I flew my Husky for the first time today. The Saito 100 sounds and runs great. Thanks for the help with all of my questions. The airplane flys great. I was surprised at how fast this thing will go.
