FG Build Log: Krill Ultimate 300KS

Krill Model makes some of the best ARF's out there! Let's spotlight one of our own as he assembles this monster Ultimate 300KS!

Another Big Beautiful Bipe Gets the Spotlight on FG!

Ok, it's not technically a build log as this is an ARF, but since we all love to see these big beasts go together, here's a showcase of FlyingGiants member Swatin Flys assembly of the Krill Model Ultimate 300KS. Swatin Flys is a Chief Aircraft Sales Tech, so apparently he gets all the cool toys! Here's what's going in his Ultimate:

  • DA 120
  • MTW RE2 tuned pipes
  • Mejzlik 27x12TH 3 blade
  • Power box Mercury with GPS
  • MKS HBL380's on all surfaces
  • MKS HV1250 for Throttle and Choke
  • Dubro ball links
  • SWB turnbuckles (sizes will be announced at a later date)
  • Krill supplied wheels and tail wheel bracket

We are looking forward to seeing this one go together and the maiden! As always, please send me a PM if you want your build showcased on the FlyingGiants homepage.

Question, back when you mounted the engine, did you use washers, or longer standoffs on one side? It looks like there was no right thrust in the firewall and you compensated for it some how. Did the spinner then still line up with the cowl, or is the gap wider on one side than the other?

The thrust line is built in to the firewall. Spinner gap is perfect at 1/8" all the way around.
