An A123 pack of equivilent size to its counterpart, LiPo, is very little difference in weight.

Now, if you are talking about NiCaD or NiMH, thats a much different story.

People are welcome to use what they want to use but to get the lightest and best performing setup for your model, A123 are not the batteries to be using. Anyhoo just very surprised in 16 people still purchase them, time to get back to topic, enjoy all.

With lipos you shouldn't leave them fully charged for any extended period of time. With LiFe/A123 there is no issue topping them off at the field after the last flight of the day, then letting them sit for a week, or even months.

I am amazed by how many opinions are displayed as fact's.

I really think this is the same guy recently called a "sock puppet" by a known personality in the RC business. He gets suspended and pops up with a new account with completely uninformed posts like we are seeing. He likes to stir the pot to see who will respond. I don't think he has any actual experience with a123's or anything else RC.

Just because it is one's truth does not mean it is another's. I personally can do everything I do in this hobby with Li-Ion's but I can see the benefits of other type's in other application's. Therefore Li-Ions are the best battery for me and that is my truth.
