Hi Aling. Thanks a bunch for making the introduction to our members of the FlyingGiants community. SD has provided a great line of products to modelers worldwide for some time now, and knowing a number of employees within your organization, I have no doubt in my mind that we'll see even better products in the future. Congrats on your acquisition and best of luck with all of your efforts.

Regards-
Max

TT has been very successful in Europe but SD never established good distribution channels. Let's hope TT sort this out so we Europeans can get our hands on the big ARTFs

With TT taking over, will there be some good intro deals???? I'm thinking about another 37.5% yak. I see they don't offer the new scheme though??

TT is powerhouse in RC, this can only bode well.

I inquired about the Pitts, man. Looks good.

If you look in those clean up pics, all those half-worked cowls and forms in the trash...I bet a few guys here would have liked to have been able dumpster dive for those. If you look close in the photos of the factory, there are a few really big fuses in the back.....the jigs in the photos are cool to look at too..

If you look at the pictures from the factory the bottom right picture has got to be planes for Troy Built Models. Since Troy Built is the only Dealer with HP versions of the planes These are some of the Russian Thunder Yaks And A buch Of the Extras That we just got in 2 weeks Ago. I think its great to see them while there are still over there.

Bill, do you know if Troy Built will continue to carry the "SD" line of planes? Just curious, as I have been looking to replace my old toc1 yak.

This acquisition from a company that has done very well in the heli market, and single handedly brought helis to the forefront of model aviation should be an outstanding addition. Cant wait to see what is coming down the pipe from SD

Not to mention Rocky is a pretty nice fellow.
I was happy to hear he was appointed "The Man" since he has been with TT for some time.
And he has good knowledge of GS planes.

That was a great move by TT.

Troy Built Models has the 42% Extra 260 and I have one 40% Yak in stock right now in the HP versions. TT has assured us that we will continue to be able to get all the planes we want.

Is this statement still true Bill? I had read on a few other forumes that TBM is selling out the existing SD model line?? If so , that's sad , because TBM was a huge seller of the TOC line , hopefully things get worked out.

Actually Gmoney....i didn't know what was going on , that's why i asked. No reason TBM couldn't sell both ya know? And since TT owns SD Models , i figured they would try and sell their aircraft through all the big ARF dealers.......you would think anyways.
