I got three flights in on the plane yesterday. All I can say is that this plane is going to be a killer 3-D plane. The ZDZ 80 is a perfect match for this airframe. I’m sure the DA 85 will be great, given the 85 has similar performance and weight to the ZDZ. I did not have to add any weight to the tail. The plane flew inverted and upright, hands off, I had to trim down to get the plane to land, so it might be a little tail heavy. Alpha Knife edge was stable with very little tuck in. Hovers were supper stable, you could slowly transition from a harrier into a hover with very little input other than elevator / throttle, no need to pop up or jerk it into the hover. The engine had plenty of hover pull out. Harriers were as good as any Extra designs - edges always see to do better. Harrier rolls were very good, not much rudder needed to keep the plane on track. This plane does crazy waterfalls, no altitude loss, pulls out strait, and flat into an elevator, with no rudder correction or wing snap. I wouldn’t hesitate to do a waterfall close to the ground. This plane will be a great back up for my 44% Yak, this plane is so fun to fly, the Yak may get neglected. The weather is looking good for saturday, I will be out, not sure where, I plan on flying the extra.

Has anyone tried to install cannisters in this plane? I am trying to put a DA100 on it with cannisters.

This plane is not can ready as advertised and so far I have not received an honest answer on what covering the plane has on it. It is going to take a lot of cutting and changing the framework on the bottom of the plane to make the cannisters fit.

Not sure on the covering but it is a close match to Ultracote. I have one and installed a DA85 with a KS1090 tuned pipe. It is very tight near the gearplate so the pipe was an easier fit than a can. I did dice up the bottom of the fuse to install it and it wasn't that bad... It's been a while since your post so shoot me a message if you still have any questions...
