Good luck with your BBW at Tucson. Walt built you a winner last year and I'm sure this year will be no different.

Bottom rough blended in: I got most of the shaping done with bottom pieces and the outlets for the exhaust. There's a piece to go over the landing gear top strap thats got to be fitted. This will be screwed/removable with a couple nylon screws screwd into the landing gear ply plate. I may wait to get the gear milled to fit this section in..no spackle yet....
This plane is looking so good maybe I don't deserve it.

Tail fairing and rudder servo mount "lay up": I have been doing this method for a lot of builds. We opted for one 5955 for the rudder. This method of mounting is a personal preference thing only. I don't like pull/pull cables and I also think there's a mechanical disadvantage running "one" servo on a 35% sized plane on the fuse side. I have seen hinge failure doing this so for the best of both worlds we will run a single servo underneath with a push push arrangement. I will make an aluminum rudder horn from .080 aluminum sheet that will be attached to the rudder bottom. Push rods will be carbon fiber with titanium ends's..I also double the Robart hinge points on the bottom of the rudder for more support in the area that drives the rudder.

Been slow since yesterday due to "IVY Tech". But anyway its on its feet and ready for the wings. I glued on the wing tips, shaped them in and Friday should have the wing roots fitted to the fuse. Its going to be an airplane pretty quick after this. I am still totally amased at the quality of these Carden kits. Walt
