Default WH 41% Extra Durability

OK... these have been out for a while now. Wondering what kind of luck people are having.

I put my 47th flight on mine today. The right aileron carbon rod came out about 2 1/2"... it loosed the inboard hinge. The inboard aileron servo rails are completely loose now... must have fluttered with the loose hinge. Hope the servo is OK.

Also, I noticed a wrinkle along the dove-tail in the sheeting on the wing (who dove-tail's balsa sheeting anyway?) If I apply a little pressure to that side of the wing it makes the wrinkle shrink. If I apply pressure to the other side it gets smaller. I'm worried that there is a weak spot in the wing. It seems that right outboard of the dove-tail the wing is cored out... no foam. A little worried.

Anyone else?

Overtemp,
Is the sheeting that's moving on the wing in the area where the wing tube ends? I'm on my 2nd set of wings because they didn't use enough glue on the false rib and end cap box where the tube ends. It ended up trying to push out the bottom of the wing. I did an autopsy of a wing and the foam is cored out towards the ends. Flex the wing upwards (+ Gs) and feel underneath where the tube ends for any movement.

Thanks dude... I'll check 'em out when I get a chance. The spot where I found the "wrinkle" is outboard of the wing-tube end. I'll check the end though.

Did your wing fail in flight... lose the plane type fail? Did you find the problem on the ground?

OT I have the wrinkles where the (dovetail???) sheeting is too. I have been watching it close and so far so good. I flexed both wingtips hard to try and test them and i think they will hold. Also I have had the servo box issue with every servo box. You just have to fill the space around the box with poly and also make sure the box is glued to the sheeting on the other side with epoxy. After I did this they hold still very nicely.
