Default Aviation Models 37.5% Yak

All,

What are you guys using for servos on this plane? Going with 2 5955/8611a's per aileron or 3? Would 2 be enough? Elevator--1 5955/8611a or 2?

I know years ago I used to use 3 8411's per aileron and 2 8411's per elevator and it was always enough, but everybody seems to be using the higher torque servos in the same numbers now. Just curious what everybody's thoughts were.

Thanks ahead of time,

Gerry

Gerry, the reason people still use the same amount of servo's even with the higher torque is because the planes keep getting bigger surfaces. The Ail on your Yak is very big and I would run 3 per ail and 2 per elevator.

also with fewer servos your surfaces are more prone to warp and distort in flight.

Gerry go with the futaba 9351 high torque servos...I am using them on my 37.5 yak and it is plenty...No blow back what so ever and very fast roll rate....Does awesome 3D with no problems...

Well I will have to say that 5955's are the best and that 3 on the aileron would be the besto combination out there.
